Life …behind stage!
Why an osteopath is needed in theater or during events with various types of performances (vocal, instrumental, but also dance and circus acts)? Sometimes there is nothing to do, sometimes it’s super stressing, applying kinesiology tape, relaxing muscles, and reassuring – yes, reassuring – in moments of good but high-intensity stress. Calm is temporary and sometimes gives way to the need of a fast a quick reaction. Just like a sound technician who seems to be enjoying the good music, while people think “lucky you, being there,” then suddenly needs to step in and solve a problem, keeping everything under control. Does it happen frequently? Not really, cause the real work happens pre-stage, in the studio, not alone but as part of a team, working with other professionals, stepping aside when needed, and stepping in when it’s time. Is it stressful? Yes!! .Easy? Never, especially when it comes to managing human and professional relationships. Yet, all this is what I’ve been slowly building over the years.
But for now, let’s enjoy the calm before the show… and then the party begins!
